To coincide with the first anniversary of the Station F startup campus, the site’s director Roxanne Varza last week released a series of key figures in a interview with French newspaper Les Échos, with the results proving very promising.

“The figures for fundraising, launches and talent diversity are much higher than we had hoped, with a total of €25 million raised. Out of 1,000 startups, 200 raised money. That's a lot, especially as 40% of them are less than a year old. More than 11,000 startups applied to be located within Station F during its first year and the site only has room for up to 1,000 startups; and to think in the beginning people asked us how we were going to fill up the campus.”

Over the course of the last year, of the 11,271 startups that applied to join one of Station F’s accelerator programs, only 1,034 were accepted. After France, which accounted for 67% of applications, the United States was the country most interested in Station F, responsible for 34% of international applications, followed by the United Kingdom (17%), China (15%), and India (10%).

Key information surrounding Station F:

  • 34,000 sq. m. space
  • More than 3,000 desks available in the startup zone
  • 26 support programs for international startups
  • 8 event spaces

The campus will soon unveil a co-living space for entrepreneurs accommodating up to 600 people. This will consist of the following:

  • 3 tower blocks
  • 100 shared apartments
  • Fitness center, café and private lounge bar
