In 2019, Kantar interviewed 862 executives of foreign companies on behalf of Business France. The results highlight the fact that France remains attractive and that its comparative attractiveness is strengthening.


In fact, 87% of foreign executives believe that France is attractive, up 13 points compared with 2016.

France remains Europe’s second most attractive country after Germany but ahead of the United Kingdom: it is cited by 38% of the executives surveyed, compared with 44% in favor of Germany and 30% in favor of the United Kingdom.


France is perceived as a future-oriented economy (86%), which encourages entrepreneurship and startups (83%), and which offers a stable legal and fiscal business environment (84%).


Among other good news, 82% of foreign companies established in France have a positive outlook regarding their investment, 82% believe that the French ecosystem encourages innovation and 81% consider French industry to be attractive. Finally, for 85% of economic decision makers, France is a country which is undertaking reforms to modernize its economy.
