According to the Crowdfunding in France survey carried out by KPMG for Financement Participatif France, France recorded growth of 59% of the quantity of finance collected by alternative finance stakeholders in the first half of 2018.
More specifically, online funding of loans to businesses jumped 150% and crowdfunding grew by 36%, with €208 million collected via this method in the first half of 2018, of which 52% was destined for the economic sector. The number of crowdfunding contributors is also showing constant growth, with nearly 900,000 people now having contributed in France in the first half of the year.
