The 2019 edition of the summit, which will take place today at the Palace of Versailles, is the opportunity to re-emphasize that France’s economic image is improving and so is its attractiveness.
More than 150 of some of the world’s most influential CEOs are expected to attend the event, from businesses of all sizes (large groups, SMEs, startups), ranging from the automotive and digital industries, to the mobility, agribusiness and pharmaceutical sectors. The presidents of France’s 18 regions have also been invited, as well as a number of appropriately qualified figures who actively contribute to the economic dynamism of France and its regions.
Just like last year’s event, the 2019 summit will seek to promote France’s economic attractiveness internationally. The focus this year will be on highlighting the strengths of France’s regions to foreign investors, with the aim of strengthening investment momentum in those regions.
Some 140 international business leaders were distinguished guests of the French President at last year’s event, which was also held at the Palace of Versailles, and co-organized by the French Treasury Directorate, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and Business France.
Not only did leaders of some of the world’s largest companies show a real interest in France at the 2018 summit, but so did several companies, by announcing investments worth €3.5 billion and 2,200 jobs.
