The DigitalPlace and FrenchSouth.digital clusters, located in Toulouse and Montpellier respectively, have merged to boost the regional digital sector. This strategic alliance aims to attract new members and help bring together the existing 400 member companies (17,000 jobs) from 13 departments in order to raise their profiles both in France and abroad.

With a budget of more than €1 million in 2019, it aims to become one of the leading digital clusters in France and a key digital player in Europe, thanks to its greater range of services. Able to cope with the challenges surrounding France’s digital transformation and its attractiveness, Digital 113 is built around five main areas: innovation and transformation, economy and growth, strategy and financing, recruitment and diversity, and the international market.

Daniel Benchimol and Pierre Deniset, Presidents of DigitalPlace and FrenchSouth.digital respectively, will co-manage this large cluster. According to these two leaders, the digital sector in Occitanie is made up of 18,000 companies accounting for 63,000 employees, with an estimated annual growth rate of 3%.
